  • Enhancing Your Child's Cognitive & Emotional Development by Dr Janice Wong Tzen Yuen
"What are the ways to encourage cognitive development?" Fostering your child's cognitive and emotional developmet as soon as he/she is born provides the foundation for success in school and later in life.

Through this webinar, we will share ideas to encourage cognitive development through different activites.
  • Understanding Child Allergies: Can We Outgrow Them? by Dr Pauline Chan
"Will my child be able to outgrow his/her food allergies?" As the prevalence of childhood allergies increases, this is a common question asked by many parents.

Through this webinar, we will look at the prevalence of allergies across age groups; examine the symptoms and long-term outcomes of food allergies, eczema and allergic rhinitis; as well as look at potential strategies for outgrowing food allergies, particular cow's milk and egg allergy. Lastly, we will explore what can be done for children who have not outgrown their allergies.
  • Snoring in Young Children by Dr Mahesh Babu Ramamurthy
"My child started snoring during his sleep. Is it a problem?"

Snoring during sleep is not uncommon in children in Singapore. In fact, about 1 in 4 children aged 2 to 10 years old snore. While most children snore intermittently and mainly when they have a flu or viral infection, only about 2-3% of children have a problem snoring, called obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), which needs to be attended to.

Through this webinar, we will address the importance of quality sleep in children, and snoring in young children. We will also look at the problems associated with OSA and the various measures available to monitor and treat these children in Singapore.
