TCM believes postpartum mothers suffer from loss of Qi and Blood, resulting in a constitution whose main traits are of stasis and weakness. Postpartum confinement , the golden period of healing, if done properly, can seek to improve the constituition. Our confinement package is designed to treat postpartum conditions under TCM remedy guidelines. Overconsumption of too many nourishing soups could prove counterproductive for unsuitable constitutions , hence the recommendation of a soup pack on alternate days.

First part of confinement is aimed at invigorating the Qi, to expel the stagnant blood and strengthening the Spleen.

For days without mention of herbal soups to drink, mummies can prepare fish soup, papaya soup or other vegetables/meat soup to drink as well. Remember overconsumption of nourishing herbal soup can lead to heatiness, bloatedness as well. Our generation is moving into overnutrition and we wish to rectify this.
No need for strict adherence to the guide, confinement period is a time for mummies to relax and let the body take a break.
