Da Hong Pao Tea Gin is an earthy, floral, richly coloured gin, made with one of the world’s most expensive teas and expertly handcrafted at our London distillery. Da Hong Pao is a rare, heavily oxidised oolong tea with an earthy, floral and sweet taste profile. Prized by tea connoisseurs worldwide, Da Hong Pao grows between the rocks of Southern China’s breath-taking Wuyi Mountains. 

Once brewed and drained, we mix these rare tea leaves with our high-strength gin, which is expertly made with high quality and special selected botanicals. We infuse the gin and tea leaves for maximum flavour extraction before being filtered and bottled at a high-strength of 51.8% abv.

- THE BIMBER STORY - 
Bimber Distillery was founded by whisky lovers, with a mission to produce high-quality single malt whisky with character, using traditional methods that are rarely seen today.
The journey begins at our single farm, where 100% of our barley is grown. It is then traditionally floor malted, hand-mashed and fermented slowly for seven days in our wooden washbacks that were hand-made at our own cooperage. We use direct fire to heat our small copper pot stills, and mature our spirit in hand-selected casks. Finally, our whisky is bottled onsite at our distillery. 
Our hand-crafted approach to whisky production passionately combines traditional methods, expertise and an absolute commitment to quality. 
Bimber’s first casks were laid down on the 26th May 2016 and we released our inaugural single malt whisky (The First) three years later in September of 2019 – the limited release of 1,000 hand numbered bottles sold out in 3 hours. Bimber will be releasing a wide range of new single malt whiskies – all with our trademark accessible, fruit forward character – all handcrafted with passion.
