 Handling and Preparation Method

 Glucerna is ready to use. SHAKE WELL. Open immediately prior to use. Once opened, use within 48hours. Discard any unused feeds after this time. Store unopened at room temperature. Cover and refrigerate after opening.



    

 Tube Feeding: Follow physician's instructions. Adjust flow rate, volume and dilution according to patient's condition and tolerance. Gavage feed at room temperature with a 10 Fr or larger tube. Use a pump with smaller tubes. Additional fluid requirements should be met by  giving water. Avoid contamination during preparation and use. Do not use in children under 1 year of age. Use with care in children under 4 years of age. Not for use in galactosemia. Not for parentaral use.
